About Rock_n_Dray
Hello ! :D My name's Audrey Rose, I'm 16 and I live in Beloeil/Quebec. Normally, I'm not so fluent in english, but because the LP network is english, I'll do my best.. :P I'm an optimist person, open minded, but very disorganized (I can't keep my room clean more than half a day. XD). I'm an apprentice musician; I have played the guitar since.. eeeh.. 6 years, but I also play a bit of drum, piano, and djembe. I often spend time on Photoshop and Painter Classic, making montages and things like that. I love to laugh, to eat, and to say stupid things with my friends :] (Sometimes that's very freaky, believe me XD). I love to be on stage too, either for acting or playing music. To talk about my family, I have 1 bro, David (14), and 1 lovely sister (it's a lie; she's a real monster haha), Anabelle (12). You wanna know more? I could eat pasta and cheese cake every day for the rest of my life (but a mix of both would be very disgusting) ; Gymnastics = Torture ; When I went to New York City, I fell in love with the Virgin Megastore ; My fav color is.. oww it's such a difficult question XD.. Blue :] But it changes everyday, I can't really decide what my favourite color is. It's pathetic I know XD
Other than Linkin Park, I like to listen to One Republic, My Chemical Romance, Fort Minor, The Beatles, Coldplay, Theory Of a Deadman, Maroon 5, Yellowcard, Muse, The Offspring, Sum 41, The Googoo Dolls, The Fray, Nickelback, Snow Patrol, The Killers, Simple Plan, 3 doors down, Billy Talent, Green Day, The All-American Rejects, Faber Drive, Oasis, The Rasmus, Plain White T's, Blink 182, Dido, Katy Perry, Jimmy Eat World, Hoobastank, Five For Fighting, Finger Eleven, Evanescence, Our Lady Peace, Nightwish, Story of the Year, The Cranberries, Eskimo Joe, Lifehouse, Styx, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and others.. But I'm not here to talk about them. :] ..
I discovered Linkin Park a few years ago when a friend of mine made me listen to ''In The End'', but I’ve been a really really really big fan since last February 22, when I saw them in show for the first time. OMG it was more than awesome. The energy on the stage, Chester's voice, Mike's verses, the songs as they are.. The freedom that you feel when you go to this kind of show is unbelievable, the way you bleed it out by singing and shouting out loud songs that you can find yourself in. When the crowd was all singing together, it was like everybody in the Bell Centre was on the same pace. I felt so good after this show, like if I had exorcized all the bad thoughts that I had before. I had discovered more than an awesome band, more than powerful songs, more than Mike Shinoda (hehe sorry I had to say this one).. I discovered a new passion :] Since that day, Linkin Park (Mike Shinoda especially.. :] ) are my idols. Hail to their implication in the society (Music For Relief) and the sincerity of some of their songs (Hands Held High and Dedicated, just to name them). It’s amazing how they can put the right words to right places. Yeah I know that some of their lyrics are not thaaat awesome, but everybody can find himself in at least one of their song; you can’t deny it.
Yeah also, I know a ton of people who hate when there’s yelling in songs. I agree with them totally. I find it very annoying when a song starts with a good melody and a good guitar riff, and then a man ruins it all by shouting incomprehensible things. But, as stupid as it can sound, I find that Chester yells fine. Yeah, really!! I’m not the only one who thinks like that, right? He really has an amazing voice; To go from a whisper to a scream (A Place For My Head for example) when you’re on stage, and then right after to sing a slow song without being out of tune, isn’t as easy as it seems. Much respect to him.
Hey, btw, congrats to all those who have read until here! To conclude this beautiful 687 word text, I’ll try to put down a list of my favourite LP songs. Hum Hum.. No Roads Left, Hands Held High, In The End, Dedicated, Faint, Pushing me Away, Points of Authority, Papercut, Crawling , KRLWNG, Breaking the Habit, One Step Closer, Numb, By Myself… Ayy how can I make a choice..
